If you're asking because of that M4 in specific. 117k lol. Get one with as low miles as possible. Buying a high mileage M is a terrible idea. OneBrilliant5607 • 2 mo. ago. i’d say that’s the mileage the ones i’m looking at are hovering around lol, def nothing lower than 90k.
Like 270k-290k miles. My general rule, though still not required, for purchasing or just driving your BMW into the higher mileage range is to stay away from turbo cars. Sure, they can still last as long, yes. But replacing the turbo can easily happen before 200k miles and can be costly.
My usual driving is either efficient or sport plus depending if I'm in rush hour or open roads and always sport plus in damping and steering lol. Unfortunately I have 22k miles on mine and only owned it coming up on 1.5 years.
For these BMW M's and AMG Merc's how old do you think you should go? I found a 2015 E63 with 38,000 km (24,000 mi) for essentially the same price and I am definitely leaning towards it. Mostly because it is in a completely different league than the M4 and goes head to head w the M5. 80k miles is very impressive. Interesting, thanks for all this

It consumes quite a bit of gas though about 1.4 times more than the previous 435i. If you are okay with that and high mileage than I'd say go for it.
The 2016 M4 sports a 0-60 mph time of 3.9 seconds (4.1 seconds with the automatic), and it’s available with a Competition package that increases horsepower and brings a 0.1-second improvement in its 0-60 mph times. Its top speed is 155 mph.

The rear-drive Competition coupe covers the same distance in 3.8 seconds, while the all-wheel-drive model does it 3.4 seconds, one of the quickest times in the class. The convertible requires 3.6 seconds.
No doubt, this is the best M3 ever made. It does everything old ones did, just better, or more. BMW really does make an effort here. The exhaust burbles when you let off the throttle, but not an obnoxious amount. A 7,200 RPM redline is still up there for a turbocharged car – not too far off the S65 V-8.
The last time we tested an xDrive40i The xDrive50e model comes standard with a 25.7-kWh battery pack that BMW says is good for up to 40 miles of electric-only driving. The X5 can use the

My '01 X5 4.4i had the extended maintenance warranty to 100K miles and then I had it serviced solely at BMW even after it went over the 100K, so I know what "well maintained" means. Regardless, the engine died on me at 139K the Friday before Thanksgiving. Towed it to BMW and they pulled the plugs and
